Just bouncing by to let you all know we DID already see the Update in the App Market (Google Play on my device) and YES… I AM squealing!!!
IT LOOKS FRAKKIN AWESOME!!! 😉
Now before you panic… NO … there is NOT an update for the actual Event just yet, but a cool look at things to come.

Commander Bun-Bun? Are we getting a skin for Patrick Stewart? After all the requests for him? I see trouble with Tribbles (I am hoping it’s like the Valentine’s event where we collect one or the other) Whorf, Jean Luc Picard, Peter (number 1), Spock-mire (kinda disappointed with a skin for his Giggity-ness instead of an actual Spock) Geordie LaForge (one of my favorite characters) Lois as Deanna Troi and a new skin for Stewie…Talosian??? Blending a bit?
So I am assuming that Michael Dirn and LeVar Burton will be two of our main Preems needed to help collect. There are usually 4 and I am gathering from the content in update that the main prize is Bertram. This is going to be JAM PACKED like a cargo bay with replicating Tribbles LOL

I was looking at the picture at Google Play, and I think the Enterprise will be a separate scenario, just like krustyland in TSTO. You can see there Deanna at Ten Forward, Data at Holodeck, Geordi at Engineering, Riker at a corridor, and Peter at the runabout landing deck. Visible is also the main bridge, and sick bay. There is also some “ensign ricky”‘s in coffins. Looking forward to this event, I might event spend clams on it, jejeje

Hmm I got a notification just a few minutes ago saying the start trek event it’s starting now, come to the enterprise or something to that effect. But still no update on my Kindle 😦

Sadly there is still no update available on Amazon, despite the game supposedly now being live lol… though I guess with all the crashing I’m not missing out yet!

Meanwhile, not only am I old enough that I saw TOS, but I even lived next door to William Shatner in Malibu, summer of 69. Didn’t know the show had been cancelled at that point, but I guess now if it wasn’t, he would have been busier! I got to play with his black lab, and my dad played beach volleyball with him.

iOS had an update- all I got was the new opening splash screen and now an annoying “like us on facebook” that of you accidentally click you get shot out of game to facebook. Do you have to unlock something first before new content?

I hope the update picture will be what I get as I still have no facespace button in the bottom bext to tasks! Everyone I know has had it for ages 😦
Ive noticed since this update there is a graphic glitch on the coastline, im sure it will be fixed soon.

There is a new feature at the upper right corner. A little arrow that if you tap on it shows a link to like the game at facebook.

After updating game the tool bar no longer shows (no quest, store, multiverse, face space buttons etc). Tried all the usual force close, device off and on again etc. Can’t register a message with tiny co through FAQ convos because the settings button isn’t there.

If tribbles = minions, then yeah, the nearly monthly ripping out of the roads, and also playing the game in synch with the tribble spawn and tribble killer drop rates. Easily the least enjoyablr part of any event

I don’t see that. I see different coloured Tribbles, much like the different coloured lovers. I think they will be tappable and we will be selecting either/or, again.

Probably because, like most big events, you’ll have to get rid of something (most likely tribbles) with some sort of cannon in order to collect something. If they’re not restriced to walking about on roads after they spawn, then they will still spawn on roads. In either case, the most effective way of racking up big numbers is to have just 1 small stretch of road and blast them all at once.

Because that’s how almost every other event has gone… Roaming things to tap/bomb/sling shot that need a containment fence or limited roads to manage. I’ve already put my town into its event configuration (two roads with nothing obscuring their view and removal of buildings near the event area.

The update was available to load on iOS. I downloaded it. I log in. See the same splash screen. Once the game loads tho nothing is going on. I purposely left all my characters free and nothing is triggered. They prolly still haven’t worked out all the kinks just yet. I’m so pumped tho!!

Oh well under the description in the iOS store it lists everything that u can do throughout the event so it looked like I was downloading the actual event. Excited nonetheless! 🙂

Ok I always have no luck with this game. I don’t have an update in my App Store so I can’t get the screen shot. This happened last time a major event came (the Valentine’s Day I think) and I got blocked out for a day. Kind of getting sick of this I love the game and all but I am so sick of been behind from the start. Anyone got a good solution I don’t have a Family Guy Backup cos it never works and I’ve already had to start the game again once after 2 years

Now Now… don’t jump the gun. It is nothing. JUST a screenshot. Nothing more. You are not behind because nothing has even started. When the full blown event hits, THEN you should be able to see it all. Til then, just hang in there. 😉
In the meantime, I would HIGHLY suggest to back up your game to email or Facebook if you want neighbors. (FYI… the game has only been out almost a year.) It is wise with any game to have a back up if you wish to keep playing and keep that progress. Most definitely if you invest money.

Because it’s been know to change on the fly. It’s better to wait until everything’s in the game and live then build up the speculation and have everyone ticked off if it changes 🙂

Ok. It won’t let me even to download the splash screen. It downloads about 1/4 of the update until I get an error message that says it cannot install to default directory. I have Google Play update.

Sounds like something going on with your device. You may have to restart your device, check your memory to make sure you got enough room, and check your connection to make sure it is solid.
Again, nothing here yet. Only a splash screen. Nothing more.

Ok. It seems to have worked. I had to play a little of the tutorial to get the icon to show up for the menu and I logged into both Facebook and Google and viola it works now. Now to wait for the darn thing to go live and I got clams ready and everything.

I thought Lois could have been Dr. Beverley Chrusher as both are redheads. Though the headband does seem to indicate she is Deanna.
Also “The Cage” wasn’t an episode in the original series. It was the failed pilot and was never aired as part of the show’ s run. They did create the two part episode “The Menagerie” using footage from this pilot to help defer some of the production costs for the series. It wasn’t until 1988 that the original pilot was shown in its original entirety.
Sorry, my nitpicker gene kicked in and I nerded out, so had to fix that “error”.

I went with Deanna as the uniform was more like what she wore than Beverly Crusher did as I recall Beverly normally wearing a full uniform where as Deanna wore that silly looking short sleeve and hotpant? style uniform (don’t get me wrong I had a crush on her due to it)

Yeah, the “cosmic cheerleader” costume Marina wore was a little inappropriate for a starfleet uniform. Then they moved her to that skintight pantsuit deal which was just not sexy to me. I think when they finally moved her into a normal uniform that she finally looked comfortable as a member of the ship.

I agree that she looked better and more comfortable in a proper uniform but that was after she became a Starfleet Officer rather than the weird in between officer and “civilian contractor”, I didn’t like the cat suit either but didn’t mind this outfit that she wore for a while.

Don’t worry about nit picking, I wasn’t born when the original series aired so i caught them when they were re-runs in the late 80’s early 90’s so that probably why I thought of The Cage rather than the Menagerie 😉

I think Lois is supposed to be Dr. Beverly Crusher, red hair and all. Then again, the sleeves make it harder to say for sure. Maybe just a general science officer?

I really like the banner design its very creative and entertaining.
I do hope there is an option to earn George Takei with his Star trek costume as Sulu.
Maybe Roger from American Dad could also take part in this event since he is an Alien. Maybe a new costume for him/her? Lol!

To be fair, the red hair screams Dr. Crusher. I think Peter and Loise may just be dressed in uniforms and not representing an actual character. I want Xanatos and Demona in my game! … I mean Riker and Troi. Yeah.

I must admit, I know about Doctor Who, Firefly/Serenity, and Red Dwarf, but the extent of my Star Trek knowledge is the Family Guy Parodies, The movie with the humpback whales, and the tribbles. I will have to end up with tribbles for me to be happy with this event. *grin*

It downloaded, installed, and loaded, but as I was playing I noticed exclamation on the cart and clicked it and it locked up. Now I can get in but it locks up within twenty seconds. Sent report.
