Remember that one time when you kept saying, “It would be great if TinyCo brought back…“? Well guess what TinyCo is doing? Once again, listening to YOUR requests. There will be some fun Characters coming back, and they all won’t be at once… so keep your eyes on your game over the next week as you will see lots of really cool Characters return and be available until Tuesday, February 3rd.
**In order to be able to see Characters/Costumes offered in your game, you will need to at least have unlocked District 3 as Al’s needs to be in your game to be able to get some of the Characters/Costumes put into play.*** (FYI, not all players will see the same Characters/Costumes offered as it will vary on what YOU have already and WHO you have unlocked in your game. If the Character is NOT unlocked/purchased, you won’t see the Costume in your list.)
Also… King Butt IS timed.

So for the basics…
WHY CAN’T I SEE ALL THE COSTUMES OFFERED?
As stated above, it will vary on WHO you have in YOUR game. So if you have a Character already, they will not show up to get again.
If you have NOT unlocked a Character, you will not see their Costume. For instance if you have not purchased Consuela, you will not see her Dia de los Muertos Consuela Costume. If you do not have Stewie unlocked in District 8, you will not see his Iron Baby Costume.
WHY IS GEORGE AND MR. WEED LOCKED?
New Characters will arrive for purchase/unlock during the Promo, so keep an eye out in your game for when George and Mr. Weed will be available. (We will also post to this site.)
Now for all the Characters/Costumes in the Mystery Box Volume 1…
Each try in the Mystery Box will cost 125 Clams and once that Character/Costume is won, it will be removed from the list and narrow your options down. Some items will go to your Inventory once won, so make sure you go place them. Others will be put into Al’s to “create” so make sure you check there too to complete them and place them onto the Characters. (Updated with the info we were able to verify in game.)
UPDATE: If you had started collection on one of these Characters/Costumes in Al’s but never completed it… you WILL see the breakdown back in Al’s… I am currently looking into this, but it looks like you still need to win them in the Mystery Box. Will post more once clarified.
UPDATE: Confirmed… ALL Characters from the Mystery Box will require you to purchase the Mystery Box in order to get them.

Again, you will only have 7 days to collect all these items once the Sandy Pyramid is built. If you do not complete collection, you will NOT get King Butt. I am still waiting on TinyCo for verifcation due to NO timer in the game, Just the date, if this means 7 days from placement or 7 days regardless and it ends on February 3rd. I’m leaning towards 3rd. (See Below)
UPDATE: As you can see in the pic below… King Butt WILL say NOT READY as he is NOT READY to Create until you collected all his items. Once you are done getting them all, it will change so you can Create him. Also, you can see the end date and time on the pop up too. All this can be seen by tapping on the newly built Sandy Pyramid. The End Date is set for the End of the Event. So you will need to have acquired King Butt BEFORE February 3rd @3PM PST.
Bryan Cranston w/His Chair. From the Quahog ComicCon Event. 450 Clams (Will ALWAYS drop one of items needed for King Butt). Once you purchase and place his chair, you will see him pop up in front of it with the Unlock symbol. Just tap on it to make him active in your game. (Yes, his questline starts up too.)
New Year’s Eve Brian: 150 Clams. Brian in his suit is back again just in case you missed your chance on this Costume. This was a temp glitch.

for nearly 3 days i have tried and not one of them has given me a single bear which i find outrageous!!!

Had bi trouble collecting ghosts but I have been sending 6 or 7 characters repeatedly for sonic screwdrivers for 3 days and have got 2. None for 24 hours. Have started rushing some tasks to get a few extra attempts in but nothing.

So I talked to tinyco twice yesterday first msg to up the ghosts and they already had then I said ok hopefully I can get king butt now, but will bruce and stewie drop auto flutes now cus Jerome and Bonnie are double tasking, they said no because the district is timed but if I was worried about flutes which I wasn’t then they’d up them and lie and behold 3 plus a ghost this morning on glut away 6 ankhs away 4 ghosts away and 5 happy meals or wtvr they are away wooo

I spent clams on a random character to help me get items. Got francis. I need him at level 5 to help out on quest. WTF, i get to sped my event time leveling him up instead of using him in the event. EPIC FAIL TINYCO!!

I placed the pyramid, and it disappeared

I in-game messaged TinyCo; no response
Am I going to miss out on King Butt this time? It’s sad because I have almost all the characters/skins which earn the epic pens, already have one, and pulled characters off of earning for Pawtucket Pat.

Try to go into your “movement” menu so you only see the buildings and decorations. See if it stands out. Also, try and tap the area you placed it. See if it is there, but just not rendering in the game.

Am I the only one starting to get ticked off about the constant changing of what characters actions will drop items!?! I set alien for task, come back and he no longer gets item for the task. I set consuela for a task, come back and she has to do another task for an item.
I’m about fed up with the constant rotation of character action for items.

Alien was never on the lists of items we posted for material drops. That was a glitch. He was not supposed to drop anything at all. Consuela was switched due to the building she needed to complete the task, went a long time ago with her skin. So many players could not even complete the task at all. So that one they chose to switch so ALL players could use it and not just a small select few.

Need one more ghost (which I should get in 4 Hours) and King Butt will me mine. Love how quick his items came. Now back to clearing Chumba Wumbas and unlocking Pawtucket Pat.

I am very pleased that TinyCo did this mini event where we can get old skins and characters back, but King Butt seems to be impossible for me to get. The extra rare and epic items never drop for him. I get that this is like a “slot machine” (to quote Bunny), but it makes me not want to spend money (and actually have not spent any ever since Halloween) on the game since I can never actually win these characters anymore. At least District 10 is okay.

Currently on 15/40 Ankhs for King Butt. Thankfully I already have George, because I don’t think I’d get enough Ankhs in time otherwise. 3/5 Sonics, 4/11 Ghosts. Struggling with the Ghosts, since there’s not many tasks for it and both Bonnie and Jerome’s seem to be affected by sharing the drop with items for Pat. Bryan Cranston hasn’t dropped any of the three Butt items so far either, and he’s been throwing pizza for days.
What do you guys think of the clam cost of the Mystery Boxes – I only need Adventurer Peter from the first one; Robocop Joe, 80s Cleveland and Clown Peter from the second. I’d quite like them, but 125 clams each… how often will they help with tasks? Probably not very. Do any of them come with questlines?

None triggered questlines. Quite honestly it is what ones will make YOU happy? 3 months from now, will you still want them? Would you regret NOT getting them. It is that personal choice you gotta make and ensure it is thought out. You have til the 3rd to decide (though they wont help with drops by then).
For me, I LOVE the Clown, but they need to also drop the ring of fire for him to do that task. It’s HILARIOUS. Well to me anyway. No questlines for these that I have seen. Mainly due to other items involved were event only.

I just got all 5 sonic screwdrivers but only 18 ankhs and ZERO ghosts! I am very concerned with the zero ghost drops since I have been doing only King Butt jobs and now unless they drop really fast I’m not going to get him…I’m concerned that the drop rate for the screw driver and ghost were flipped or something…:( Any one else experiencing NO ghost drops at all?

I’m having a similar issue. I’ve only got 1/11 ghosts. At this rate, I’ll never unlock King Butt, and that’s my only in-game priority this week.

Ghosts are the rarest of the bunch by far. I have 3 and been on them with 2 out of the 3 since the start (no cranston) – its odd the phase 2 of the event has a TON of characters on the ‘extra rare’ bears, but only 3 on the ghosts for phase 1’s version.

Got the same Problem at Takei.
About 10 characters and costumes for the bears (already full) since they changed some droprates the ankhs are coming now, but i got only 2 chars for the chair and the droprate is bad. To sum up: 14 chairs, 2 chars medium droprate, atm only 3 i got. 6 Bears, rare droprate, about 10 or more chars and costumes to drop, already full.

Tap in the box…when it comes up tap on the center pic block (green colored “prizes” with magnifying glass) you’ll be able to see what’s inside. No clams spent.

Not sure if Diane was an option to retrieve from the mystery box in Vol.1 I have all chars getters except for her. Now that mystery box Vol.2 has rolled out I’m wondering why Vol. 1 wasn’t available. For Vol. 2 all I have is Pee Pants and Robo Joe (thought that was and android exclusive? Not that I’m complaining as an apple user) any help is appreciated! Keep up the good work!

I’m a bit bummed. I was about to say that I was cautiously pleased that I have about 10 ankhs, 3 ghosts, and 1 of the laser pens (or are those supposed to be sonic screwdrivers?), but most people are reporting that they’ve already gotten most or all of the pens/screwdrivers despite the “epic” drop rate label. I’m hoping the drop rates hold steady or pick up, because there isn’t even an option to purchase the missing components for clams.

This afternoon Alien had a drop sonic screwdriver task so I pulled him out of inventory. He just finished, but now has no sonic screwdriver task, so I put him back in inventory.
When I did that, I could see one of those “Always Drops” captions for what looks like a bear, garden shears, and (wait for it …) a sonic screwdriver.
Perhaps for someone you can earn other than King Butt, as the v.2 Retro Box (that’s what I am calling it) noted Stan Lee helps with King Butt, George Takei, and Guillermo.

I understand this event were meant to be a time filler but I hope this game could be change a little to make it more playable.
For instance the drop rate for ankh is too low but the others’ drop rate was higher than the ankh.
Same case also happened for the new year jillian case. The monumental drop rate for king butt is higher than jillians bracelet which was only rare.
I dont understand whats happening.

I’m kind of at a loss here trying to collect king butt items. I just know got around to the quest to unlock stewie and falconer peter but this is complicating the king quest. Thus far I’ve been able to get exactly 2 screwdrivers, 3 ghost, and 5 ankhs. I also seemed to have missed the luck of the draw on the 2 ghost also. Kind of thinking I might not get anywhere with the drop rates being so strange for me. I even tried to do the longer task to get a better chance and nothing to really show for it. Any thoughts?

Feel your frustration. Have three Anka = 3/40, screw driver 3/5, and ghost 4/11. Been playing since the challenge started. Have only the players that came with game. All six have been going non-stop except for Lois/chris glitch. At this rate will have everything EXCEPT the Anka. They seem to be SUPER DUPER EPIC.

I was under the impression that Cranston dropped the 3 items gor king butt all the time but i just collected and didn’t get ****. Is this on their fault OR us possible it was the skeleton thing coming up but seeing how i gotthe last one before he was done it just ddidn’t reset?

Just got a 6 ankh drop looks like they fixed some things up slash every time I have put peter and quagmire on nap time they’ve dropped epic item if ppl are having problems with that it could just be my game but give it a shot

I cleared the laser pens with the other characters and Bryan Cranston is not dropping any items even though he is supposed to always drop something on his throw a pizza task. I messages tiny co but is anyone else having this problem?

Aaaahhhhh … same problem for me with Chris and Lois … although they were not dropping much in the way of Ankas now it’s not even an option!!! I was doing great with the screwdrivers at 5 but I guess my chances of completing this have dropped to almost zero since I now only have Diane to get the 40 needed Ankas … uuuggggg …

The ankh quests have been screwed! As per other comments Chris and lois have lost theirs also Consuela’s has changed to something different entirely! What is going on??!!

People get Characters for free?
Items for king butt with high droprate are dropping really rare, by 40 items to collect it is a pain to see that. Screewdrivers already full over here and i got 1 or 2 ghosts. I got all the characters from the box before, or got all the missing ones (Patrick stewart) and all costumes besides Rugged peter, because they came before i started to play. And not all characters/costumes are showing that they could earn items. Even 2 standard characters that new beginners should have got their earning removed? (lois and chris) this will near to unbeatable. My friend started short before the winter event. The last character she gained was Meg. Now she has no chance to get king butt without lois and chris…
Besides that she bought immediately Brian Cranston because she was a fan and he helps to unlock him, but he also didn’t drop every time and seems buggy..
Now she is depressed, and i can comprehend this. (Funny side note, she bought the clams with google play credits that i gave her for her birthday, which is on the 4th of february.)
I know this is not the right place to complain and it is not your fault, your in the same situation like we…
But i got to vent, this was the first time that i experience something like that here. And it looks that are a lot of people are affected by this.
(Still hoping for Takei and the orthers Comic Con ppl in a box and i will get poor^^)

No worries. It is why we made posts SPECIFICALLY for players to vent. Lol. The What The Hell turned now to What The Deuce. Anytime during anyday, feel free to pop over to them and let it all out. We encourage it. Helps all of us to keep our sanity when things go belly up. Don’t worry. TinyCo DOES watch (we keep em on their toes too) and they will see players feedback on things like Cranston’s drops. They are really good about making adjustments in the game to help out. Just keep at it and let’s see what they bring next. 😉

So pissed. Sorry. Went to click check mark on Chris and Lois and got no Anka. No biggie will send them to do it again . Lo and behold. Private tima and freshen up no longer have the Anka. Sent to Tinyco. So have no way to earn Ankas. Please can You also alert tinyco. I’m missing the opportunity to collect and time to obtain them, to the longer this issue goes on. Grrrr. Thanks

They took away the tasks for Chris and Lois to get Ankhs, so now you have to use a premium character or costume for them 😦 Unless having Peter grow a rugged beard is doable. I’m not sure what costume is required for that.

They’ve added an item tasks for Nathan Fillion and Alien, but neither of them are for ghosts, so I’m not looking too hopeful at getting the 10 more I need from just Bonnie and Jerome (don’t have Bryan) especially since they appear to like dropping me flutes more – and it seems the epic drop rate is at least true in my game, as I’ve yet to get a single screwdriver (but I still think I’ll get those finished before I get all the ghosts)

Anyone else seeing ankh tasks CHANGING??? I now have a Nathan task for them and consuela’s task changed from pan dulce to dirty dancing while I had her on pan dulce which now shows no payout chance of anything. Bunny and Alissa I know u can’t really check bec you have KB already

Issue was the task was in a building no longer available, so players that didn’t have it and just got her could not even use it. So they had to make it fair to ALL players and put it to a task that ALL could access. (They are just doing it now.) I do have access to a game that has King Butt drops, Alissa does not so she was unable to check. I am verifying Nathan’s task too.

One of the tasks they eliminated in my game was Chris enjoying private time which takes place in the Griffin house (I think that is the first building from when you launch the game on level one). I just clicked on it and it didn’t pay out and now it is not an item-dropping task any more. Anyone else seeing this? A little unfair about Consuela changing tasks when she is in the middle of it so it just seems like time wasted now. At least pay out through the remainder of the task rather than change on the fly.

For King Butts items they added task for Nathan Fillion and Alien. So happy about that cause I have Alien and this will help with the Epic Item. Just wanted to let you guys know cause I saw it was not updated on the site yet. Thanks!

Noticed they added some other characters to help get King Butt. Also the last two times Cranston has NOT dropped an item. Have message into TinyCo. to confirm if his always status has changed.

Hey guys, you seem to be a knowledgeable bunch, hoping you can help. I have Bryan Cranston and from this page I’m under the impression that he is supposed to always drop a king butt item, but I’ve been having him chuck pizza around for a while now and nothing. Am I missing something?

I don’t know if anyone else has seen this, but alien now has a 4-hour task to help get sonic screwdrivers. Can anyone else verify this?
