Hey fellow addicts,
Can I ask what the little gummy bears/teddy bears and the weird little Egyptian type heiroglyph symbols are for that I seem to be able to send characters to collect, yet doesn’t seem to count to any totals??? (Doesn’t appear in the top right hand corner like when I collect beer bottles/bottle caps, etc).

I did it. I finally f-ing did it. I nuked Quahog and deleted the app from my tablet. I started playing just a day after this game was released and have been playing since. I had almost all the characters and even spent money to get all the Christmas characters, but time and again I was cursing the game, getting frustrated, getting anxious about being able to complete things, then giving up knowing that without spending a ton of money I wouldn’t be able to complete it all. Time and again I thought about doing it, especially after spending money and all this time it was hard to do, but wow, what a relief. Time to move on from this wasted time on a lousy game.
Sorry addicts, but I couldn’t do it anymore. Hope you are having fun because I certainly wasn’t, but thank you for the help through the months to make it a little more bearable.

It is OK. Really. We get it. We tell players time and time again this is NOT a game for everyone. If you don’t like it and are not having fun, like you should when playing a game, then it is time to step away and find something you do enjoy. We fully support players making that decision. I encourage people to step away from anything that makes them miserable and does not bring joy. Life should be happy and fun. 🙂
You are always welcome to still bounce round here regardless. Join the Open Thread convos, just chit chat, whatever. It is a community and all are welcome at anytime. 🙂

So, I get home today from work. Tired. I don’t see the remote so I go to turn the TV on manually, and see a couple of envelopes, (junk mail), and this cardboard tube. I look at the cardboard tube and it’s from Family Guy Addicts??? I haven’t entered any contests since I won during Comic-Con so I was perplexed as to what the heck it could be. After ruling out the possibility of a pipe bomb, I opened it and there was a Family Guy Comic-Con Poster. Just like the one the U.S. postal Service decided to bend in half to fit in my mailbox. This puppy came wrapped like Fort Knox though. Wow. Just amazing. Thank You. I did not expect that. 🙂 You made a pretty average, crappy day into a good day.

I just recently bought the quahog diner but accidently got two and my clams are way down now. I wrote to support and ask if they can fix this even though i know its my fault and its ok if they can’t and I wouldnt think any less of them if they didnt cuz of the many times they have been able to respond and help me out. In less then 12 hrs. I sign in saw that my clams are back up and only saw one diner instead of 2. The support say they don’t usually do this but make an exception in my case and I also think they gave me 100 clams instead of 75 back (I think). I hear a lot of complains about tinyco but the support people over there have been on top of every single one of my problems and respond back to me at an appropriate time if not faster then normal and that makes me love the game and respect tinyco (support) an insane amount. Makes me feel a lot better for spending a lot of money in this game because of the good service. Also, this is just one minor thing they did compare to the other stuff but I won’t get into it. Thanks tinyco.

I recently started re-watching Family Guy on Netflix. I’ve never seen it all from beginning to end, so it’s hilarious to see how many “little” references in the game I missed here and there and to finally go “Ohhhhh, that’s where that came from!” on some items.
Do you think they’ll ever do hippie skins of Peter and Lois in the game? Or their KISS costumes? Those are character skins I would love to see. 😉

I think someone posted last week about how hard the eyeballs were to get and they weren’t kidding. I have been sending Dr. Hartman on that task only for the last 5 days (and started sending Tweaked Out Peter as well) and I haven’t gotten a single eyeball. Glad there’s only 3 to get, but this is seriously going to take a while. Also, I wish the American Dad people would contribute every once in a while! Why can’t they have tasks that help collect items to unlock characters/skins?

So I got Phineas and Barnaby and finished the Gympocalypse questline, but joggers keep spawning. Is there anything else we can do with them? I’m just letting them run all over my town for now. Maybe if we leave them undisturbed, they’ll actually lose weight from all that jogging….wouldn’t mind having a bunch of hot joggers running around in my Quahog 😉

I still think it’s ridiculous to have to shell out 200 clams (pun intended) just for Steroid Stewie. It’s one of my favorite episodes/skins for him, and I’m going to pass on it. It’s too much, and I believe I can get the other bodybuilder without Steroid Stewie. If it was impossible/near impossible without his skin, I’d have likely gotten it.
But, alas, I have 248 clams and am about 2 days away from getting Buzz Killington!
I got Consuela when she was reduced to 180 clams a while ago, and I spent the 175 clams to get Bitch Brian; and I’m glad I did. Bitch Stewie and Bitch Brian episode was so good!
Also since I have Stewie helping to get things for Pawtucket Pat, I don’t see the point in spending 200 clams on Steroid Stewie, when I’m fairly sure I can keep him on earning the extra rare flutes (since so many are needed and I have only had one drop so far) and still get the two body builders easily.
I got Human Rupert a while ago too so that helps.

Buzz doesn’t add a lot, as you will see in other posts. Human Rupert has been used, and Consuela is Consuela, but be sure you want Buzz and not just to complete the set.

Well I’m in the middle of a 6 hour drive with nothing to do… So I’m trying to work out the fastest way to unlock Stewie and finish district 8, using drop rate percentages to determine the optimal tasks for each character.
Does anybody here know of an accurate drop rate list? All of the ones I’ve found have plutonium listed as a common item, instead of extra rare….

Follow what your game currently lists. Remember, the game was launched almost a year ago now and a lot has changed since then… including the way TinyCo does the drops. There is no % or mathematical list that we can post that will help you. It honestly all comes down to chance and how YOU play the game on what YOUR results will be. The more you DON’T get an item and continue to send the character on that same task over and over the better chance you have of getting it.

It depends on what part of the game you are in. A lot of the info is still valid. The % were based off of OUR experiences. There were never any actual stats released for the drops.

So far I’m liking the the 2 events. I’ve completed Phineas and Barnaby freemium and I’m slowly working on Pawtucket Pat. It’s nice to be able to take your time for once. Still need lots more land though. I have more in my inventory now than I have out on display. Seahawks will deflate Princess Brady. The Legion of Boom will dominate and Beast Mode will run all over the Pats. And by the way, “Alligators” are ornery ’cause of their “Medullae Oblongata”!

If you are on a mobile device, try switching to data and then back to WiFi to see if it helps. Otherwise, yours is the ONLY report we are seeing of game access issues.

Nothing yet. Windows is a stand alone so right now not a way for it to play nice with the Mobile Version… but I hope that will change. I would LOVE to go to a big screen and play the game on. 🙂

I’ve been getting game access issues intermittently in the last 24h-48h. The Consuela message appeared repeatedly this morning UK time (approx 11-12h GMT) and the same at 13-15h-ish on Saturday.
On the plus side I’ve had far fewer crashes since the last update.

Once you completely unlock the District 10, you will see the option of the Beer River in your decorations menu to buy. It is just a lil square that you place multiple by each other to start creating a River, Pond, or even a Lake. 😉

Well since this is an open thread where I can talk about anything. I would like to see who everyone here on FGA thinks will win the Superbowl next week.
My prediction: Patriots will “Deflate” the Seahawks :p
PS: I know usually I complain a lot about some of the characters on this game, but I still really like the game. I’m actually going to try at an attempt to at least get Barnaby and Phieneas before the event ends.

I feel like I would rather have 5 epic items to try to get with a 2-4 hour task, then having to get 25 uncommon items with a 12 hour task. I know that Pat isn’t a timed event, but this will take a good 2-3 weeks to get… and that’s if the items drop all the time. Sorry lol, I feel like this post should have been on the ” what the hell ” or “what the deuce ” thread lol.

So, I’m really enjoying Barnaby and Phineas run through. As a premium player I skiped most of the New Year-Brian- Special. I did manage to get Jillian-in-red-dress. I also completely skipped the chickens on fire and T-Rex. T.C. Is getting better at doing more for premium characters but I feel that it is not enough. For example, Cleaveland has had nothing to do since Halloween. (I think, could be wrong). And other characters that were premium only have one run through and that’s it. It’s just kinda sad for a premium player because you should get just a little bit more. Like an extra action to help unlock The next big run through. Just saying. Anyone else agree? On that note, I did buy steroid Stewie (already had bear from last year) and I also bought all the buildings except for the beer factory related ones. I really enjoyed popping the fatties. Creating items for a factory keeps me coming back every few hours but it’s “alright”. I’m neutral to that, but I’m not hating it.
