I know you all are “patiently” (HAHAHAHAHAH!) waiting for something to come along to break apart the monotony of what this Fine Arts District has brought. No worries, as I have been trying to tell you all… it is the “calm before the storm”. What on earth am I talking about? Well… lemme just put this lil icon here and let the NERD FREAK OUTS BEGIN!!! 😛
But seriously, this is an icon that appeared with no warning… no info… and nothing to verify just when/if this is gonna happen. All I can say is THIS Geeky Nerd Girl is TOTALLY FREAKING THE FRAK OUT!!! Just sayin.

UPDATE: Just a warning as I see this spreading. I saw this icon after an iOS/Apple update NOT a TinyCo one was forced on my device. Once back my Family Guy Updated to a 1.7 version. (Other apps did too.) Since then I’m not able to get back in the game now on that iOS device (Android I can still get in fine). The App is no longer in the App Market. And if I try to pull it from my purchases on the cloud… I just get Consuela “Can’t Connect”. I’ve reported it. Feel free to email them too help@tinyco.com
UPDATE 3-11: Here are a few links from around on the iOS issue currently going on. My suggestion is to turn OFF any auto App Market updates (if you can) and avoid any changes to your Family Guy App at all costs. Stay on the 1.6.8 version. Do NOT try to find or force the 1.7 Version or your game will not work.
FYI… TinyCo is well aware of the issue and doing all they can, unfortunately this is NOT anything to do with them. It is ALL on iOS. So all they can do is wait like the rest of us for the App Market to come back… THEN they can make sure the Family Guy App is working as it should be.

The App Store is working again I got an update for an unrelated game , trying not to think about bunny and her victoria secret app but anyway the new event should be interesting hopefully I can get everything cuz I keep missing the final prizes like Jesus and hot meg

UK news channels are currently reporting that the (cr)Apple Appstore was down due to faults on Apple’s side. Crapple are fixing it, apparently. Hopefully by replacing iOS with Windows 3.0 😉

Weird, I can’t find the app either. But mine is working fine and doesn’t appear to have updated anything yet. Hopefully it doesn’t attempt to when the cutaway event ends.
As for the event, I’m suspecting it’s something that came up after Leonard Nimoy died. Maybe something small to honor him that spiraled into a bigger event with more ideas. Another comic con event also occurred to me, but unless my con calendar is messed up I don’t think we’re close enough for that. Or even just a “response” to the super hero event on Tapped Out: Star Trek Vs. Super Heros

They are in process of working with Apple right now to get the app back. It should not impact anyone already with the app running. It is just when it tried to update that it stopped and went Consuela.

First I saw the picture, started thinking “omg omg omg star trek… “, then I read the article and started thinking “oh please oh please oh please have ‘captain kathryn janeway’ as she’s my favorite star trek captain.” (somehow I never liked captain picard). Checked my android store and got no update. Then I read the update and feel like this update is only an eternity or 2 away….
Anyone know where I can buy some more patience? I just ran out, lol

Thing was the game WASN’T down. It only impacted a small handful of iOS users and ONLY if they uninstalled the app and tried to reinstall it when Apple Market went down. For the rest of the players, no one was even impacted.

Not much they can do about it if you are on iOS.(If that is the issue) Gotta wait on Apple to fix all things on their side.

Odd. I have no problem finding and downloading other apps from the store. Family Guy, on the other hand, shows nothing.

It is due to Apple pushed something that was not ready when their systems went down. So Apps like Family Guy that were in mid process of something are inaccessible.

Great. Just finished building my town all nice and now they bring out an event. Now I have to remove roads and decorations just for this event. On the plus side I enjoy collecting stuff so thanks.

Since past events have included “town roamers” that despite their annoyance, and what looks to be the one aspect scoring least in polls, TinyCo keeps including in events so, people make that assumption. Most members of my FB multiverse don’t even have roads b/c of this. But you’re right, we should wait before complaining.

Here is the thing… you may ONLY focus on the complaints, but on the business side… the “roamers” are also one of the most POPULAR requested item in the game. It is like a split Love em/Hate em. THAT is why they put them back in. Big Picture and all that 😉

Honestly, I do not know the trigger for it. One device had the issue BEFORE the update. The other device AFTER. From what I am seeing/experiencing, it does not matter. It is an issue in the App Market itself. So… I would avoid any changes to the Family Guy App itself right now. If you have auto update on… turn it off. Keep the 1.6.8 Version on your iOS device so you can still play.
It is that accidental upgrade to the 1.7 Version of Family Guy that kills the game.
