So here’s the work around…Tribbles will spawn on the Enterprise endlessly until next week sometime. So… grab em while you can.
For those still in Quahog and the spawn has stopped before you get Riker… please let them know.
Again, we know many of you are still saying you are stuck in Quahog. (Officer and and Idiot Part 1). A fix WAS pushed this morning so make sure your game is up to date. Try restarting your device to see if that helps. Also try tapping “Go” from the task or Riker.
3-21 6 2PM EST: TinyCo pushed another patch. Let me know once the hour mark hits if your Tribbles are back after Part 4 of Officer and an Idiot. 🙂
Update on the update… it did not relay through as intended. Hang in there. TinyMatt and the crew are on it. They know we need these Tribbles to continue. So sorry for the hiccups. Help is still on top of it. I think the Tribbles may have got in the patch lines and chewed through. Lil brats apparently don’t want us squishing them. Lol
3-21 3 2PM EST: After sending reports last night Tribbles stopped at Officer and an Idiot Part 4, have not gotten an update on a patch as of yet. They are looking into it as it is supposed to go to Part 7. Hang in there. Will Update when I get more info back.

Where No Griffin Has Gone Before Part 1-4 (Quahog Only)
An Officer and an Idiot Part 1-7 (Starts in Quahog but continues in Enterprise. Quahog will stop as soon as you go to Enterprise.)
Hope this helps out now. If you do not see the change right away, wait an hour for the next spawn time as we may have JUST missed it. 😉
FYI… TinyCo did clarify the Tribbles STOP spawning in Quahog once you collected the 35 in Part 4. Still waiting on when/if they stop on Enterprise. DON’T PANIC!!! There are other things coming to still help with Riker and the Crystals. Hang in there.

Hey there Tribbles!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I am having so much frakkin fun and it is only day one into this Event. This Geeky Nerd Girl is just all sorts of giddy and bouncy. (Someone send poor Alissa some meds, drinks, sweets, earplugs, rope to tie down Bunny, ummmm… Lol.)
Anywho… where was I? Oh yah, TRIBBLES!!!
If you are not a SciFi Fanatic and you haven’t seen many Star Trek episodes, or none at all. You are a bit taken aback by all these lil Fuzzballs roaming the town and why the heck they are.
Let me first give you an idea just WHAT a Tribble is. I will keep it VERY basic. Lol. These lil floating puffs of fur come from the Original TV Series of Star Trek. They were sold to unknowing crew members of the Starship Enterprise as “pets” (other travelers too). Much like Gremlins, these lil things tend to multiply quite quickly after eating something they shouldn’t have. For the Crew of the Enterprise, this started causing a major headache when they got into every nook and cranny in the ship… which is stuck in space. They got into wiring, food, and everywhere they should not be. Essentially becoming a huge nuisance to everyone and disabling the Enterprise. Eventually the Crew got rid of them. They have since shown up in many more episodes as well as the Movie Versions of Star Trek, including the new REBOOT Star Trek Movies. (Again, this is just basics. Do a search online if you really want a LOT more details.)
Here is Captian Kirk buried in Tribbles after finding them tucked in one of the ships panels. (Look a lil like my picture up top? 😉 )
Now that you have an idea of the lil creatures origin, let’s move on to the Tribbles in our game for this really cool Star Trek Family Guy Event.
WHEN WILL THE TRIBBLES APPEAR IN MY GAME?
In Quahog~
The Tribbles first start showing up in your Quahog during Where No Griffin Has Gone Before Part 4. You will be required to “pop” 35 of them as one part of the 3 part task. Once you hit this point, a “poof” of smoke will appear on your sidewalks as the Tribbles start to randomly appear. Popping Quahog Tribbles will NOT count towards the Enterprise Tasks.
On the Enterprise~
The Tribbles first start showing up on the Enterprise during An Officer and An Idiot Part 4. You will be required to pop 70 of them as one of the 2 part task. Once you hit this point, they will “poof” in randomly and start wandering the ship. Popping Enterprise Tribbles will NOT count towards the Quahog Tasks.
WHAT IS THE SPAWN RATE ON TRIBBLES?
(Same for both Quahog & Enterprise)
As of this post, the spawn rate is NOT public. That means there is not a verified source or detail yet on the Spawn of the Tribbles.
From what I am seeing in my game, 6 Tribbles Spawn every hour in my Quahog and on the Enterprise (once I get to those points in the questline).
Here is the Breakdown of Tribbles I had during 10 Tribble Spawns (1 Spawn group every hour for a total of 10 hrs) :
3 Yellow Tribble
2 Beige Tribble
1 Brown Tribble
I was still at Starfleet XP Level 1 when testing this (XP for the Event). That may or may not impact for the spawn amount. I will update if I see anything change. For now, it will at least give you a general idea of what to expect.
HELP! I CAN’T FIND THEM!
In Quahog~
They will spawn on sidewalks only. So if you have sidewalks hidden behind buildings or decorations, this will be a lil more tricky for you as they are REALLY little. The less sidewalks you have the better as well as the more visible your sidewalks are the better.
If you still are having trouble seeing them, you can always use the Characters needing them for Material Drops to find them. Just tap on that Characters Material Drop Down Menu. Locate a Tribble. Tap “GO”. The game will take you to them or tell you there are no more.
Now look at this Zoomed Out pic of Quahog with People. Can you spot the Tribbles? They are REALLY TEENY, so stay zoomed in and don’t hide your sidewalks. 
On Enterprise~
They will spawn around pretty much in any room they feel they want to go. They will inch along the walls and in corners, so zoom in when you can and tap on them quickly.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I POP A TRIBBLE?
One of two things will happen when you locate and tap on a Tribble to Pop it.
1: You tap on it and it spits out ONLY ONE the following (the drop rates are MY personal calculations not anything in FAQ, your results may vary)
In Quahog~
Nothing (Rare/Extra Rare)
+1 Dilithium Crystal (Common)
+2 Dilithium Crystals (Uncommon)
1 Tricorder (Uncommon/Rare) –This item may vary depending on Character being unlocked.
1 Clam (Epic)
On Enterprise~
Nothing (Rare/Extra Rare)
+1 Dilithium Crystal (Common)
+2 Dilithium Crystals (Uncommon)
+5 Dilithium Crystals (Uncommon/Rare)
1 Captain’s Logs (Uncommon/Rare)-This item may vary depending on Character being unlocked.
1 Clam (Epic)
2: You tap on it and it multiplies and spawns up to 6 more Tribbles. If this happens, pop them quickly as they tend to disappear as fast as they multiplied. Then you will go through the same payout as listed above. This will increase your payouts quickly.
As you can see in the Quahog picture below, two of the Tribbles I tapped spawned 6 more each giving me a total of 12. They scattered fast. This happens in both Quahog & on the Enterprise.
Now you have an idea of what to expect from these furry lil creatures. If YOU are having issues with your lil Tribble Fuzballs spawning, remember they are REALLY REALLY TEENY and to look close as they are easy to miss if you have hidden streets. If you still feel there is an issue, please reach out to TinyCo (a fix was already pushed for them, so they should be spawning correctly for everyone).

Downloaded 1.7.3 for android around 5 hours ago. Need like 50 crystals to unlock Riker but haven’t had any tribbles spawn since update. Any ideas?

I’m 13 shy of getting Riker. I have had no tribbles all day. I use iOs. I figured once the post saying everything was resolved than they would spawn, they haven’t. I’m on An Officer and an Idiot Part 1.

I haven’t had any trouble with my Tribbles spawning. I did purchase Fuzzball bay for enterprise, it seems to help with the spawn rate, but I honestly can’t tell if it was worth the 200 clams or not…? Bunny or Alissa Do you have any stats on how much Fuzzball Bay helps with the spawn rate?

I’m on “An Officer and an Idiot Pt.3” and I have not had tribbles since yesterday. I have my game sitting in the Enterprise for over an hour now and nada. Any idea what’s going on? I’ve checked Qahog multiple times as well, just in case, but nothing there either.

When we hit what point Bunny? Do you mean “An Officer and and Idiot Part 4?” BUT if I have not reached that point, and yet the skin for Starfleet Peter is CURRENTLY available for me to create at Al’s in Quahog, and we NEED tribbles for the Captain’s logs to create that skin, then doesn’t it stand to reason that tribbles should be spawning in Quahog, for us to get that item required? Sorry really long run on there. But ya know what I mean? It just doesn’t make sense that they are locked if the outfit is unlocked. Scratching my head over here.

Play through the questline on Enterprise. Patience, they are still tweaking it, but you can still get items for him by the questline once you hit that point. I know it is a bit odd, and I have told them. Just know you are not stuck… just gotta get to Tribbles again or if fix hits first. Either way. 😉

I have had Tribbles every hour since the shuttle was fixed and they just stopped when I got all items for Riker. Only had the quest An Officer and an Idiot Part 1 in my list of things to do. Hope this information helps. Thank Ladies.

Nope still no tribbles. I’m well past the point listed at the top of the post. On IOS and been logging in multiple times per hour since they said they patched it. No tribbles popping on the enterprise at all. It’s possible they are supposed to stop on the enterprise but I doubt it at this point as it’s taken me all day to get about 80 or so crystals. Would take me 5 days to get enough to get the rad cargo room.

My tribbles were spawning just fine until this afternoon and I had finished the 35 yesterday. A few hours after they stopped spawning in quahog, I unlocked the enterprise, and they are not spawning there either, so I have no way of getting Peter’s costume.

Think lots may run into this Tribble trouble:
They stopped spawning after collecting the 35 and don’t have enough crystals to unlock Ryker. The only Star Trek quest I have now is to unlock Ryker but no way to earn the crystals to make it so…(see what I did there 😉 ) Haven’t spent any crystals so it is indeed an issue. Poor Tribbless Crystal Difficient Locked Up Ryker.

So now supposedly tribbles don’t spawn in Quahog until after you reach Part 4, where you have to pop 35 tribbles, and then stop spawning after you complete the step? What a disappointment. I liked how they had the hourly spawns before.

So the tribbles stop spawning after I complete the 35 tribbles quest? I competed it yesterday and I still had some spawn a few hours ago. I was waiting for them to respawn again because I haven’t unlocked Riker yet. I’m at 154/175 crystals. I can’t get more crystals because I can’t get into the enterprise yet (since I haven’t unlocked Riker), and I can’t get more crystals from the event quests because my only event quest is to unlock Riker (I competed the other one already). So are tribbles the only way to get crystals? Or are there some character tasks that give crystals that I’m missing? I feel like I’m kind of stuck here…

3 hours without tribbles now. I’m still collecting for Riker so it’s not the Enterprise-Quahog tribble thing, although maybe the fix for that caused this new problem. Last tribbles spawned at 6pm GMT. Messaged TinyCo and their response was to the reset the device (power down, power-up). Did that but no still no tribbles at 9pm. It’s sad when you ain’t got no tribbles 😦

Just seen your latest update at the top of the post and yes, I’m past part 4. Completed that about 18 hours ago.
The reply I had from TinyCo about 30 mins ago did not mention a part 4 limitation, just the recomendation to reset my device (iPad2) and let them know if that didn’t fix it. Messaged them back and thought I’d check here too as you have good info on bugs.

The only event quest I have now is to unlock Riker. I didn’t see any tasks that give them but I’ll look. I love the idea for the event but this was not well designed so far. My wife is 36 crystals short and stuck the same way.

I submitted a help ticket about it also. That was an extremely poor choice of place to halt the spawns. They should have been tied to Riker or the sub-requirement for crystals on Riker. There is almost no way you could reach 175 crystals without tapping 35 tribbles and there is no way you could reach 175 crystals from *only* 35 tribbles. Given that they may drop one or two crystals each you are still looking at tapping in the area of 100 at least.
If I hear anything on my ticket I will update here also.

I’m still not getting Tribbles (5:04pm EDT). The FAQ in the app says they stop spawning in Quahog after Pt 4 of where no Griffin has gone. I know I was getting them well after I completed part 4, they stopped when I unlocked the enterprise, I think. I’ve waited through 4pm and 5 pm, I’ve reloaded the app a few times. Should they still be spawning?

Yeah I guess so. It was weird cause I tapped the 35 last night but got some when I logged in this morning. I think personally they stopped when I had enough for Riker’s requirement of 175. Thanks for the quick response Bunny! You’d make an excellent Starfleet officer lol

Yesterday I managed to clear enough tribbles to take care or Riker’s needs plus however many for the first quest and I started in the afternoon. Today I had tribbles at 5:30am (PDT). I haven’t seen any since. It’s always fun til somebody gets hurt.

I too am having the tribble trouble. No spawns at 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. It will be hard to get dilithium without these lil buggers. I’ll give it an hour or two to see if a patch pops up before sending an in game, however.

Also, please give it a bit to hit your game. The spawn is every hour and depending when the patch hit your game, you could be inbetween the spawn.

Same here. Was working great before the patch and now no tribbles for last 2 hours . I downloaded the patch over an hour ago.

So, I woke up this morning to find that I got the last few items to unlock Riker. Had a look at the enterprise before heading back to my town to squash some tribbles. Only problem is they are not there. No tribbles to be found anywhere. I’ve messaged them through my game, but I assume that’s not meant to happen. First issue I’ve had with this event. Have I missed something?

There was a patch JUST sent for Tribbles. You may need to wait for next spawn to see them. They pop every hour.

I just had the same thing start happening, and it started after the patch was supposedly released. I boarded the Enterprise, and now no more tribbles in Quahog. I’ll send them a message in game about it, but for some reason it normally takes them a few days to a week to looking at whatever I send them.

Hang in there. Give the patch time to hit. It may come between those hourly spawn times so you might have to wait for the next one.

I’ve seen mention in the comments of a timed quest for popping tribbles on The Enterprise. I want to make sure I don’t accidentally start this before I gain the ability for tribbles to spawn on the ship. What is it that starts this timed quest?

It won’t start until you’ve unlocked the ability to spawn them. An Officer and an Idiot Part 4.

I don’t know what quest line the other people were on, I read something about the enterprise, but I still have to unlock the captain, my tribbles stopped spawning as well!
I finished the first quest (with quagmire’s task + 2 other tasks as part 4) this morning, still had ‘m spawning. Last thing I recall is giving that Riker guy some of those pink crystals, popping some more furballs throughout the midday and now nothing, nothing at all! x_x
So what now? Sending in a message through the game? Or is there a faster way which doesn’t require to make an intercontinental phonecall? Desperate, frustrated, this is the second game being a *bleep* today, nargh! 😦

In game message is best way to reach them. They are aware players stating the issue and have said a patch was sent out. So try restarting your game.

I’ll send in an in-game message a.s.a.p. and wait for the patch.
As for the restart, a normal restart (note 4 – stock android – I always close all apps) doesn’t do anything unfortunately. That’s the first thing I tried. But if it’s not only me affected, I have my doubts that clearing the cache will do anything.
Just checked the play store, there was a new update, didn’t do anything, reinstalling the game didn’t do it either, so I’m going to contact them, as for now I can’t really continue in this event.

They spawn on the hour… so you may have missed the window. Give it 30 mins to an hour for next spawn and they should be back by then. 🙂

I really hope so. Do they leave anyway? That’s the one thing I wasn’t sure about, as I just got spawns whenever I logged in (whether it was 1,5 hours later or not). I’ll check the game in a bit again to see if it works for me again.
